The Nor Cal Smackers were formed in 2008 by Mike Moose McNair to provide a high quality softball experience to a group of girls playing at the 12U level. The team was formed to provide a more challenging environment for the girls and to expose them to the best competition we could. The team played seven summer and five fall tournaments including the ASA Nor-Cal Championships and the ASA Nor-Cal Regional Qualifier.
The success of our first year, let us to believe we should expand to include teams from the 10U to 16U levels this year. We believe we can provide girls in Marin County and the North Bay with the best opportunity to expand their skills and to learn how to play the game with the best teams around.
NOR CAL SMACKERS MISSION STATEMENT
We strive to prepare our athletes to succeed at the highest level to which they aspire on the softball field, in the classroom and beyond. An emphasis is placed on preparing girls to play competitive softball at the highest level, including academic excellence, through clear communication, individual and team practice and strong competition.
